MONCTON, NB -A rally in support of Moncton High drew quite a crowd last night.

About 200 people gathered outside Moncton High to protest the province’s plans to relocate the school on the northern outskirts of the city.

Participants, many of them clad in purple, attempted to form a human chain around the school.

Anne-Marie Picone Ford, was thrilled with the enthusiastic crowd.

She says relocating the school out of the downtown will make it difficult for many kids to attend extra-curricular activities and after school jobs.

She’s hoping the government can be persuaded to change its decision.
