MONCTON, N.B. – Two men appeared in court today to face charges in connection to an eventful alleged break and enter yesterday in Moncton.

Police say they responded to a possible break and enter at about 3pm on Thursday on Greenwood Drive, where two men were still inside the house.

The pair were arrested after a dramatic foot chase through back yards and over fences, and one man had to be subdued with a taser.

The RCMP Police Dog Unit was called in.

One man was discovered hiding in a wooded area behind Hillcrest School.

32 year-old Brian Thomas and 30 year-old Jonathan Busch are each facing charges, including break and enter with the intent of committing a criminal offence.

Thomas is also charged with resisting a peace officer.

The two men are remanded in custody until a bail hearing on Monday.
