RIVERVIEW, N.B. – Town council in Riverview may be next in line to face questions from those who disagree with public funding for Crandall University.
The university has a controversial policy in place stating it will not hire anyone in a homosexual relationship.
The city of Moncton recently faced criticism for providing an annual grant to the school.
The town of Riverview also makes a yearly contribution of $3,000.
The town’s newly elected mayor Ann Seamans says she is comfortable with the grant because it supports local students who choose to stay in the area to get a post secondary education.
