MONCTON, N.B. -  Information offered up by the province on their site selection for a new Moncton High School has done little to squelch opposition to the development in Royal Oaks in the outskirts of the city.

Half of the possible sites examined by the province were made public on Thursday by Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Claude Williams.

Mark Higgins of the group ‘Stop the Royal Hoax’ says the minimal amount of information released was just another attempt by the government to appear open on the issue.

“But they didn’t address the outlandish expense and the negative impact of moving Moncton High School to the city outskirts, so no, it was another attempt at hiding from the real issues on the topic.”

Higgins says the group is preparing to take the province to court in an attempt to force some accountability in the matter.
