MONCTON, NB – An experimental chicken farm in Moncton has worked out so well, the idea could soon become a reality in the Hub City.

Michel Desjardins, with the citizens group “Post Carbon Moncton”, tells  “McLean in the Morning” a report has been submitted to the city on the successful venture.

“We had four chickens for about a year… in a typical neighbourhood in the northern part of the city and it worked out beautifully,” Desjardins notes.

Desjardins says the chickens in the experimental farm produced about two dozen eggs per week.

The group plans to make a formal presentation to Moncton City Council next month.
